Description

PTLCC 2016 Conference - "What Shall We Eat"

Saturday 15th October, 9:45am to 4:30pm, at the Metropole Hotel, Llandrindod

How can we ensure that our diet nourishes us, our communities, our land, our fellow creatures and our planet? The Powys Transition Towns and Low Carbon Communities network (PTLCC) conference this year looks at the many aspects of the food we eat.

The keynote speaker is Patrick Holden CBE of the Sustainable Food Trust, and we also welcome Mark Williams (local farmer and columnist), Emma Maxwell (Cultivate - community gardening), Pamela Mason (Nutrition author and researcher), Helen Porter (Welfare), Alan Fay (on flexitarianism) with other participants to be announced.

There will be a full day of talks, workshops, displays, networking and a panel discussion to conclude. Those who came to last year's conference will remember what a rewarding event it was so this is a highly recommended event.

The ticket price is £11.21 waged, £5.90 unwaged, which includes lunch and refreshments. Some bursaries are available - contact Sally Owen - This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Please book early to avoid disappointment. You can book at Eventbrite.
